LosOjos Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Hi all, we're using ALPS for KS5 target setting and I'm missing some KS4 APS (if you haven't used ALPS before - everything rides on the KS4 APS). I've tried FFT but lo and behold the students whose APS I'm missing aren't on there. Anybody got any other ideas where I might find this info? I know I can call previous schools, but they're not likely to help me out on results day
CAM Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 You only need Avg QCA or Avg GCSE as filling in one column in the ADCS collection software automatically calculates the other. If you know their GCSE grades (probably collected as part of their sixth form application) then you can work the GCSE score out from there.
LosOjos Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Yeah I know it's an either/or thing but unfortunately, it appears external candidates are taken on their word here (i.e. nobody has their actual results!). I know, I know
CAM Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 Haha! Been down that road so many times. Last ditch try would be the paper files I guess, I tend to just find results if I go back a month later. Otherwise a stray forgotten about CTF on S2S.
gazskeltz Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Hi, I usually get our head of 6th form to get in touch whith the previous schoiol and ask them for APS Works quite well if you know where they came from! Regards Gary
LosOjos Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Yes I think we'll be putting structure in place to obtain such information in September. Fortunately ALPS is only for internal use so we've made an educated guess based on teacher assessments compared to our own students whose KS4 results we know.
