discoveranother Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Hello all, Have come across the following error on a HP ML30 Gen9 Server :- Server Critical Fault (Service Information: Runtime Fault, System Board, P12V Main/AUX Regulator 1 (04h) ) Has anyone encountered such an error on HP servers ? From some research it seems it may point to power supply issue. Thanks all
kevin_lane Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Have you tried testing with another psi of the same model / gen of server the psu should be hot swappable so you will be ok, obviously one take 1 at a time to test Last year when I was at bett our hyper v host bottomed out completely went dead, never happened in the past 18 years ive been at my school, swapped psu from different servers no effect, did a completely static discharge, again no effect, lucky we have a hardware contract in place and came next day to replace the main board. Even in his 30+ years he had never seen it. But make sure you have good redundancy and backups because when S meets fan you need to be ready. Lucky I have an excellent tech and he knew what to do esp when I’m in London and he’s in the office !
PotNoodleTech Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Could be a power supply if you've got hot swap try swapping them over or running on one. But also could be the motherboard which will be warranty job.
