M365 - Purview - Data Lifecycle Management - Retention Labels / Policies

Morning all,

 

Any users on here of the new Purview Data Lifecycle Management and more specifically the Retention Labels and Policies portion.

 

While I have Retention Tags (not to be confused with Retention Labels as they are different!) setup for email boxes / default folders I now also need specific retentions for specific emails 🙄.

 

I setup a retention label of 7 days and then assigned it to a policy which has the query "[email protected]" and then assigned it to Exchange then my email box, ran the simulation and got 5000+ results back, great! However... Do you think I could find anywhere to actually view the results, nope!

According to the simulation results page there was a tooltip saying to view the results which just didn't exist after having another person also take a quick ganders at my screen to make sure I wasn't going mad.

 

Regardless as its just my mailbox and worst case I destroy my own emails, I have enabled the policy but can't seem to find any documentation on when these run and how frequently, is it similar to the Retention Tags schedule in MS world where it run once a week on a secret squirrel day?

 

Just curious to see if anyone else is using this.

P.S. I should of added this is an Auto-Apply label.

Never mind, think I found the answer here, simulations can take 24 to 48 hours to run and you receive a confirmation email once complete so I'm guessing leaving the simulation overnight was not long enough!
