I've recently been asked to have some kind of digital signage on the doors to our conference and hall to show digital bookings.

Is anyone doing this?

I've seen e-readers used in some offices with a calendar on the screen to show availablity.

Currently we book rooms on Bromcom which works, but i'm open to other solutions..

We have a Teams room which has a panel like you have shown and is booked through outlook.

For everything else we use "Booked scheduler" which has "monitor views" which you could use to show bookings on any screen.

Our staff love it as it's so simple to see whats booked for a week at a time, just click to reserve it.

I've just tested the outlook idea, I have created the resources and can book them for events.

Is there any way to show the calendar on a door with a tablet or something?

You can publish a calendar to a public link straight from outlook. (maybe OWA only)

Think you'd only see one room at a time though.

I have a QR code linking to the public link on the door in case people want to load the full schedule.

Joan was the one all over the place when I last looked. But looking at the price of that compared to something like the Yealink tablet based system I can't see why!

Just testing out Joan with an old android tablet. Pricing looks reasonable if we just use it for our shared rooms. Less that £200 a year and £400 for an E-Reader.

EDIT: Looks like it integrates with outlook room resources! Awesome.

Recommendation?

Sorry, I've not used them. It was just looking at the Yealink devices. They use a full tablet, the e-reader ones are nice and probably easier to install as no wires, but for the extra functionality might be worth the others.

If this is proper Teams or Zoom Meeting Rooms (and if it is not, I'd urge you to consider doing that), I'd look at https://www.yealink.com/en/product-detail/microsoft-teams-roompanel

We have hundreds of meeting rooms deployed using either the above or Condeco (which is great but very expensive. The Yealink panels are cheap, easy to mount, robust (imo) and have great visibility of the room availability from a distance.
