r0cketbev Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Hi Everyone, I have been asked by my boss to look into preforming a SharePoint migration from one 365 tenant to another 365 tenant. He wants us to do the migration for free rather than use a paid solution like mcloud or movebot. Has anyone done this? The only things I have found in the 365 tenants are to do on-prem to cloud and things like boxx to 365 or google drive to 365. Thanks in advance. RB
Mark182 Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Check out - Cross-tenant SharePoint migration link here *Ignore, just seen this line - Enterprise Agreement customers. 1
Rob_D Posted November 21, 2024 Posted November 21, 2024 Power automate has worked quite well for us for copying libraries between SharePoint sites in the same tenancy (tidying up the hodge-podge of sites create when we rushed into SharePoint in 2020). I don't see why you couldn't use it to move stuff between tenancies as long as you have access to both. Spitballing, but if you're backing up your 365 data, then you might be able to use that to restore to the new tenancy.
r0cketbev Posted December 2, 2024 Author Posted December 2, 2024 Hi Rob_D and Mark182, I have finally talked my boss into getting a paid solution for this. I don't know which one we are getting just yet. RB
