mdrabble Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Weird issue with Office 365 where apps get updated and then causes issues for end users unless an admin logs in and opens any 365 app to display Office 365 has been updated. Anyone come across this before? Not sure why it waits for an admin to login for letting people know it has been updated. Cheers
Roberto Posted November 13, 2024 Posted November 13, 2024 Hw are the devices getting updated? How was office installed and licenced? Do you have any plugins or anything that might modify office any other way?
mdrabble Posted November 14, 2024 Author Posted November 14, 2024 Updates via SCCM, installed via SCCM TS on initial build and licensed via Shared Computer Activation. Nothing has changed but I am now starting to think it could be part of a wider issue - as I am now seeing Explorer hanging as well as some office apps. It is taking a number of reboots before things work correctly - and this is on a mixture of Windows 10 and 11 devices.
