themightymrp Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 In previous years our DT department has made use of Photoview 360 with Solidworks to do the final rendering of projects. The teachers discovered yesterday that Photoview is now deprecated and has apparently been replaced with "Visualize" I'm unsure if this is a feature that should have been installed with the Solidworks package when I made my Admin install. I've had a look and it does appear to be an optional extra, but it asks for a serial number? Is this a separate paid-for add-on? Also, does anyone know if you can just add that component to the already installed machines or will I need to remove it, build a new admin install and roll that out in replacement? Any advice welcome
dapaulio Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 If I recall when you build the admin installer you tick various boxes you want 1
themightymrp Posted September 20, 2024 Author Posted September 20, 2024 Thanks for the reply, I have since figured it out. I just needed to build a new admin image that included the extra components, then ensure the settings were set to 'upgrade' and re-ran the installer on the machines. It seems to have added it in.
