Sydders01 Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 Hi All, Hope we are all doing well after prep for the new academic year. We use Unify wifi. It was setup by my predecessor. All of a sudden, the Main SSID refuse to connect for users. When a user tries to connect with their username and password it fails. It says check radius. I have done a log check and can't find anything . As this was setup by my predecessor, i wanted to rip it apart and set it afresh. I will like to set this up without any radius . Something very simple as long as it does work well. We just have a few AP's and the controller is web based Please advice. Thanks
Rob_D Posted September 5, 2024 Posted September 5, 2024 What do you need it to do? Or what is your ideal setup? My vision of the simplest option (not using NPS), is have a business SSID for domain/company owned devices (probably using some flavor of WPA) on your main PC VLAN, and a visitor/BYOD SSID (using captive portal) on it's own isolated VLAN with only internet access. I think Unifi has built in visitor portal and VLANing options (at least it did the last time I used it).
Sydders01 Posted September 5, 2024 Author Posted September 5, 2024 Hi @ Rob_D I just want to take it away from the NPS and make this a simple setup with Domain devices and guest . How do I proceed?
