Bugzi Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Hello, I hope someone could help please. We've been using SCCM and Microsoft Store for Business for sometime but the location which was setup to store the content had to be changed as the previous storage server has been decommissioned. I couldn't find a way of changing the content location setting so decided to remove the store and add it again. Removing went through fine but adding it back in again has proven an issue. When I click on "Configure Azure Services", I am only seeing options for "Cloud Management" and "Administration Service Management". The option for "Microsoft Store for Business" does not show up. We are running SCCM version 2303 (5.2303.1089.1300). Does anyone have any tips please that I could try? Many thanks
Steve21 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Microsoft Store for Business in SCCM is deprecated - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/changes/deprecated/removed-and-deprecated-cmfeatures - March 23 was the last update to include it You need to move to the "new" ways of deploying them now if you want it via a supported method Steve
Bugzi Posted June 26, 2024 Author Posted June 26, 2024 Thanks. So what is the "new" ways of deploying them please?
Steve21 Posted June 26, 2024 Posted June 26, 2024 Either moving onto InTune Integration/Co-Management, or using 3rd party routes like winget/package deployer etc All the apps are being moved across to the "newer" Microsoft Store in InTune, rather than seperate Business/Education one (https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/intune-customer-success/adding-your-microsoft-store-for-business-and-education-apps-to/ba-p/3788506). They put the deadline on hold so it's not 100% forced now but in terms of support etc that's still what they're pushing and removing the older store from Endpoint (both sccm and intune side) Steve
Bugzi Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 Ok thanks. I don't think InTune will be a way to go for us as so far when we have looked into it, it feels like an unfinished product. I'll try winget. Does anyone have any tips for winget please?
Steve21 Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 I don't mean the full migration to InTune, but Co-Management with SCCM - They work side-by-side and you can for example just deploy AppXs via InTune while doing normal things in SCCM etc Steve
Bugzi Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 ok. I understood that. We have Co-Management setup by third party last year, but it's still in testing for us and I've not had the time to do much more with it How do you have it setup with co-management please?
