Olliedawg Posted December 4, 2024 Posted December 4, 2024 Verbose is highly detailed messages - so you get details of the login process, what policies are applying etc.. on login instead of "Welcome.." Enable verbose startup, shutdown, logon, and logoff status messages in Windows Server 2003 - Windows Server | Microsoft Learn You can most likely use this to help pinpoint the policies which are causing the slowdown 1
Julian Posted December 5, 2024 Posted December 5, 2024 (edited) If you want to know the time it for the computer to process group policy, your computer already records all the information. Use "Group Policy Results" from Group Policy Management (it's the bottom option). If you run this from a DC you can get the group policy processing times for any computer and user on your domain. As an example, here is the details from my logon. Total time taken for user group policy processing was 6 seconds Edited December 5, 2024 by Julian 1
