Conway Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Does anyone out there have this combination of systems - SIMS, Applicaa Admissions+ and Civica catering ? Our admin team has used Applicaa for the first time this year to import our new year 7 intake to SIMS. All appears to look OK in SIMS BUT the Civica Trustee Extractor doesn't find any preadmissions (it has worked every year previously). I have run the Civica report manually in SIMS .. same result. SIMS support say the focus for preadmissions should be applicants not students (Civica report is focus students/ population pre-ads). Back and forth between 3 support teams is highly frustrating. Civica says there is no other way of importing our pre-admissions students. Any help gratefully received.
howartp Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Can you browse to a known Y7 student manually? Are they in Focus > Admission > Applicant, or are they in Focus > Student > Future? I'm wondering if Applicaa has admitted the students already (with a future date) rather than pulling them in as Applicants (Applied/Offered/Accepted)?
Conway Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Thanks for the reply. Browsed to one and they are in Focus > Admission > Applicant (not Focus > Student > Future)
howartp Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) Correct Intake Group (2024/25 - Year 7) and Application Status something other than *admitted*? (Edited post!) Edited May 22, 2024 by howartp
Conway Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 yes to both .. application status is 'accepted'
howartp Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Ok now i'm stuck We don't use Applicaa (yet) but I do a lot of the equivalent importing/processing with the data team so I thought I'd sense-check the basics with you. I think next thing I'd do is copy the Civica report then tweaking it to see if I could get students to appear, then work out why they are what they are/or why they are where they are.
