Can't you simply select the text, copy it, then flip the selection and paste it back on the image, add a skew if you want, change the colour a bit? also make the school logo web 2.0 style if possible. You also need to add a graduated fill over the top of the reflection so that it disappears. I use The GIMP but the theory is the same. Check out triMac: Creating Apple's "Shiny Table" Effect
