Office 2021 Publisher Freezing on a mail merge

hi all,

 

The reprographics team are encountering an issue where when they try and do a mail merge using an excel spreadsheet as the data and merge it into a new file in publisher it freezes completely with no error message apart from microsoft asking if you want to restart the application or wait. Any ideas?

Hello, I have asked and was suggested the following "does it work if you move the mail merge document to the same folder as the spreadsheet, locally on the machine and try then" ?

Can you export the publication as a gif or pdf?

I found that mail merges do not like OneDrive. Can you test from another location?

Onedrive might be why. We managed to get it working but only in word... We had to try and recreate the certificate as best we could in word.
