Veeam Admin$ Share

Good afternoon,

 

We have a problem with restoring backups in Veeam from one server, Veeam say it's an environmental thing but I cannot see what I am missing.

 

I get the error regarding the Admin$ share not being available but the account I'm using is a member of local administrators on that server so I cannot see why I'm unable to complete the restore process.

 

Has anybody else encountered this with Veeam? All other servers restore just fine and I can ping the server in question from the Veeam server.

Ive been having some weird issues on various servers with folder permissions. I think MS have done something in a recent patch something to do with permissions and UAC control.

 

have you tried adding that account to that specific veeam share folder manually just to see?

Well I did think of this and then felt silly when I couldn't actually find the folder.
