Jobos Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 I made the HT a guest logon for the NVR when it was installed 6 years ago so he could look at the cameras and download video, all was working well until he tried to download a video of an incident and was met with a no permission error when opening the download window. Live viewing or playback all work fine just downloading the videos that give the error. I've been testing different permissions a user can have to see if it was that but no change and even when I made a new opperator with all the permissions ticked they still get a no permission error when trying download. My logon is admin and can download fine but I'm reluctant to share that with the HT if at all possible. The NVR is DS-7616NI-K2 running firmware V4.74.200 build 230522. Thanks
robintech Posted April 23, 2024 Posted April 23, 2024 Remember something weird about if they're viewing in IE mode in Edge then it moves the download location to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\%username%\ if you have not added it to trusted sites. The Configuration Tab in the Hikvision should also have a download location in case its that
Jobos Posted April 23, 2024 Author Posted April 23, 2024 The download location is setup correctly it’s when you’re at the playback screen and click the download button (bottom right). The search window will open then you get the error and also when you click the search button. Both NVRs we have are showing the same error. It could be because I updated the firmware last year. HT doesn’t use it that much so may have not noticed until now
RKing Posted April 24, 2024 Posted April 24, 2024 I am assuming you are using the web version and not HikCentral. Have a look at the setting for that user. Configuration > User Management > highlight "User" and click Modify. I didn't set the permission on the account I use, but I have Local: Video Export / Local: Log Search ticked. Maybe they would help!

I'm beginning to think the problem was caused by the firmware update I did last year and looking at the Hikvision site that firmware has been withdrawn (V4.74.200 build 230522). The latest firmware is V4.31.530_240113 and it is timetabled to be installed over half term. This is the error in question and appears when opening the download page or clicking search on said download page.

We are moving towards HikCentral and our firmware version are: V3.4.90 build 160926 and V3.4.95 build 170626 I have a user with less access and they have the following options: Local: Log Search Local: Playback Local Manual Operation Local Video Export Remote: Log Search / Interrogate Wor... Remote: Two-way Audio Remote: Live view Remote: Manual Record Remote: Playback It could be a firmware thing. I'm not sure. I am just an end user, of this system.
