Hello,

We're currently using iBoss' cloud connectors on all of our Windows devices, but recently found that quite a few of them (mostly Windows 11, but a small number of Windows Servers) are now having issues downloading files.

It started out being large files only but now files of all sizes will just fail, in Edge and Chrome they fail with a generic 'Couldn't Download - Network Error' while other applications are failing with SSL errors (downloading with CURL fails with bad decrypt errors)

I've tried bypassing specific sites and even turning off SSL decryption entirely but nothing changes, using the PAC file on its own without the cloud connector works fine.

iBoss Support have investigated but they are drawing a blank and not able to recreate the issue.

Our environment uses Microsoft Defender for AV - and we've tried adding the iBoss Service as an exclusion but that didn't work either.

Has anyone else seen anything similar?

Yup we used iBoss for 3 years and when there were downloads around 2gb it would fail in exactly the same way... If I recall correctly our AV (Sophos) caused havoc with it, even when the AV's web inspection features were disabled iBoss wouldn't behave right. My memory gets foggy here but I think we created a script to force kill the AV's "web protection" service upon machine boot - something to do with the WFP drivers clashing. It didn't solve everything but it tied us over until the renewal where we moved away from the product all together due to its reliability issues

I'm not familiar with Defender but maybe disable it completely on a test machine?
