[sims] SIMs Exam Organiser- Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server - Login timeout expired

Hi all,

 

The Exam officer is having issues with SIMs Exam Organiser at the moment, where when she is doing stuff on it, it will throw up an error message saying 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server - Login timeout expired'. She then says it eventually comes up with a ' hand symbol' that then kicks her off of Exam Organiser. I don't have access to the Exam Organiser module, so I am not able to replicate the error, but she says it happens a enough to disrupt her working.

 

Has anyone come across this issue before and have they been able to fix it? It has been happening a lot and we're not sure how to go about fixing it!

Ask her login to another computer and try. Do the symptoms follow her. All sims workstation anomalies can normally be resolved

Try repairing .net 3.5

Try reinstalling the simsinfrastructuresetup.exe and simsinst.exe. If the problem persist

 

Sims deployed from solus I find is a lightweight version. For those who use the older modules still need the full installers
