Opening MS Office apps closes any other open Office apps

Hi there,

 

we have this issue where when updates are available for the MS Office apps, opening MS Office apps closes any other open Office apps.

 

Despite numerous messages and email etc informing staff that when this behavior happens they must do: FILE / ACCOUNT / UPDATE OPTIONS / UPDATE NOW to remedy the issue, they just completely forget.

 

We did have Office Apps set to auto update but then they moaned about Office shutting down at inconvenient times.

 

Is there a way for a notification to appear to say that there are updates pending for the Office apps?
