Gmail - desktop notifications no longer working

I'm hoping this is a Google issue and nothing more but some of our staff used to get Google Desktop Notifications when using Chrome when a new email arrived and i feel that since a Chrome update (unsure which one) this no longer works.

 

The sound notification still chimes but the desktop notification no longer works.

 

It works as it should on edge.

 

Could those who are using Gmail let me know what it does for you.

 

Edit.. ive got it working now, strange!
