Part Time Field Based IT Technician

We are a fast-growing I.T. support company for schools, across South East London, primarily in Bromley, Lewisham and Southwark. We are a small company that genuinely care about the schools we support, but we’re expanding and increasing the number of schools we can assist. If you love technology and have a thirst for not only increasing your technical knowledge but assisting others in doing the same, then we want to hear from you.

 

We are currently recruiting for a part time or full time field-based technician to provide on-site weekly maintenance at a number of our schools.

 

We provide a variety of technology services to schools of all shapes and sizes, looking after anything from a single computer and printer right through to whole school structured cabling rewiring and computer suite installations.

 

In many of the schools that we work we are seen as an extension of school staff and so, not only are we looking for someone who is technologically minded but, it is essential that the right candidate can also talk non techy and interact with school staff and pupils alike.

 

Demonstrated field experience is required, with hands on experience essential. You must have sound knowledge and experience in:

 

• Windows Server and Active Directory

• Windows Professional Clients

• General networking

• Office 365/Google Workspace

• General computer hardware (repairs and maintenance)

• A great customer care attitude

• A personal need to learn and develop ones own knowledge

• Driving license essential

 

It would be a great advantage to have experience in:

 

• Working within the Education sector/schools

• Managing and/or deploying iOS and Chromebook devices

• Installing and/or maintaining interactive technologies (boards and projectors)

• Installing and/or maintaining audio visual equipment

 

We have high standards in what we expect from our staff and how we care for our clients so only those who have the same high standards in customer care need apply.

• You don’t have hands on experience in the above

• You don’t have recent experience of Windows Server

• You are not eligible to work in the UK

• You don’t have a love of technology; we love our work and only want to work with those who love theirs too!

 

Location: Client sites across Bromley and Lewisham

Salary based on experience and in line with school based technician roles
