Computers for solidworks

Just wondering what spec computers people are running solidworks (2023) on these days?

 

Looking into upgrading the tech room which has been going for 8 yrs on the same computers - the computers aren't terrible as they are i7s with 16GB ram but the cases are damaged and the graphics cards are totally obsolete that when I upgraded them to Solidworks 2023 they have to run in software compatibility mode.

Ryzen's with the APUs will remove the need for the graphics cards and more than grunty enough for that purpose. Frankly any modern CPU even with the awful intel HD/Xe graphics will run it well enough for a school.

I realise this is a late reply, but for anyone else who is looking for suitable hardware... We run ours using Ryzen 5 Pro 4650G processors and use the onboard Radeon graphics along with 16Gb RAM. The program runs just fine. Nothing too advanced is needed unless you start wanting to use the Flow simulations for liquids. For our students who are just creating 3D models, it's spot on.
