Need password for the Dell 3190 bios

does anyone have the password for the DFE Dell Latitude 3190 bios, i have just come in to a new school and we have lots of these needing rebuild but it won't unlock the bios and SLT dont have the password from DFE.

Without making any accusations, you are new on here today and your first post is asking for a password for a device that we cannot be sure is actually yours.

 

I don't know about other members here, but questions arise in my mind when a new user asks a question like this.

 

The DFE issued the laptop to your school, yes? So shouldn't you be able to ask them for the password?

 

Again, I'm not suggesting wrongdoing on your part, I just feel the need to exercise an abundance of caution.

The DfE's Get Help with Technology scheme that supplied all of those devices has now closed, including the portal that went with it. In theory passwords were emailed out to all registered users when it closed, but, whether anyone saved any of this info at the time is another matter!
