discoveranother Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Hi all, Several of our clients use Smoothwall for their safeguarding. However, they receive weekly reports or notifications if you like, of any inappropriate content accessed. Unfortunately, the weekly notification only displays the user and category accessed, for example, 'Adult Sites', it doesn't display the time, date or actual site. Has anyone else encountered this ? If the reports cannot provide more info, there is no point continuing with Smoothwall, especially considering that the Dfe and schools are now becoming more stringent on safeguarding. You would have thought it is obvious from a safeguarding company that all necessary information is provided on the reports that are sent to the head teachers. Thanks all
synaesthesia Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Default reports contain date, exact time, username, category, URL. There's something else wrong if you're not getting those...
ibpalle Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 The weekly and monthly summary shows a list of categories and the number of breaches but not the details - the daily notification will show the full details of each breach. You can setup notifications for any or all categories together.
ITGuyNW Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Silly question but how do you setup notifications? through portal.smoothwall.cloud I usually just log in and run a report
ibpalle Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Notifications are setup on the on-prem Smoothwall. The cloud portal generates alerts only for cloud filter extension clients. You'll find the safeguarding notifications in reports - safeguarding - notifications.
