Indeed; worth noting the dates on the post, as I'd hope not to see too many accusations of "internal shadiness" or somesuch. Bromcom, just like many educational service suppliers will always be looking to recruit from their target market to get the best knowledge possible.

I will just reiterate a previous post and say that I am a power user of these various MIS systems, and have dealt extensively with both Bromcom and Arbor, and there really is not a whole lot between them. They both have strengths and weaknesses. There is certainly not enough of a difference in the products to warrant such a crazy marketplace and schools can function perfectly adequately with either. If you are in the middle of trying to decide between the two, you won't feel you've made the wrong choice with either one in my opinion. And probably some of the other systems are just as good, frankly. Company representatives seem very dramatic about MIS systems at the moment. Don't they know we're all tired and underpaid? Exhausting.

As an ex-governor, I'm assuming this was heavily scrutinised. The amount of times I had to confirm on paper work.. "no I don't have anything to declare" that may bring my job in to disrupte or questionable personal businesses etc etc etc. It was annoying as hell....  but completely necessary. Even during every meeting, the question had to be asked.

 

How do I say........ I work here and have a relationship with a product we're buying..

Re-read the times please - there's no conflict of interest because he *was* the head, and *is now* working for Bromcom.

I love how Bromcom marketing post turned from  “We’ve moved to Bromcom from Arbor and we’re loving it” to "Loving Bromcom Is Dead Easy... When Bromcom Pays for Your Opinion!"

 

Of course there was a conflict of interest.  Imagine managing a trust of 7 schools and be the decision maker of switching over to Google from Office 365. A few months later you work for Google. Not suspicious at all.

Posts like these are why I'm always slightly suspicious whenever there is a poster who is 'gushing' with positivity around Bromcom, or parroting their selling points.  I've used it and It is a good product, as are most products on the MIS market, but some make out it to be the best thing since sliced bread!

Get your points and I'm the first to be cynical as you know, but still these are rather harsh unnecessarily. I dont like the self promotion either, hate the litigation and all that but this is a bit far fetched to moan about surely?
