Hoping you can help.

 

Can anyone provide easy to follow is instructions for the patch to be applied firstly and then the fileset after? I believe it’s done via SOLUS.

 

A colleague has tried but it failed for some reason and I just want to get it right first time.

What has failed, the patch or the fileset itself?

Both I believe so I’ve been advised to install patch first and then the fileset.

Yes it is the patch first, does solus3 give a reason why, is it a timeout error? As I used to have an issue where the DB backup would take so long it went over the threshold, which you can adjust below

It’s now deployed successfully. No reason given. Was just bugging out but appears to have worked now.

Ah coolies, I have to admit, I have one SIMS Upgrade left with SOLUS3 and then we are off to a new MIS, I have always found SOLUS3 to be quite a fickle beast.

What new MIS have you opted for?

Arbor for the MIS and keeping FMS for finance as we are still a foundation school, so technically maintained so we only had two options for Finance packages supported by the LEAs team so we stuck with FMS

Ah yes, I’ve heard of Arbor but not used. I’ve used Bromcom but the current schools am at are all SIMS at the moment.
