Ric_ Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 A sensible idea... Moodle as an appliance. Not too sure about their choice of hardware but if it works and they offer suitable maintenance plans it shouldn't be a problem. A rackmount version might have been nice.
danIT Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 They seem to have the right idea, the main problem i see in implementing resources into Moodle is the inability to share that content across multiple courses/subject areas. Plugging in some kind of content manager to enable teacher to pull content from a central repository is a quick win for schools using Moodle. Moodlepilot also seems to claim that students/teacher will be able to pull information out of Moodle in to the repository. Could this be the e-portfolio for Moodle we've been waiting for? Obviously would be nice to see a demo of it in action before passing any kind of judgement.
