The pic is of a barometer, and a weather station we've got outside my office. On the barometer, "Storm" would be about 7/8 o'clock. The needle has dropped below that to about 5 o'clock. 723mm of mercury is very low, about 963mBar. 948 is the UK record from 1954.

I recorded 953 mbar here but it was amazing quickly it fell yesterday. In spite of our amber alert that it wasn't that windy here, just thunderstorms and torrential rain.

In SE Kent, its just been a tad windy and wet.

 

The roads on the other hand have been a nightmare due to crashes and the M20 being used as a car park.

Here it dropped off the scale to about 6pm on the dial. It’s rising slowly now. Almost at 7pm!

 

Pretty soggy but the Medway is still in its banks in Tonbridge
