Mimir Posted October 23, 2023 Posted October 23, 2023 Hi All Currently can't install office on any of our machines - very recent change in the last week. Just wondering if any of you have had issues installing office recently - SCCM, manually, batch - all seem to bomb out. 94 people currently with the same issue on this forum post: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/error-code-0-2031-17000-when-installing-office-365/87a673a0-ec80-4b61-b900-2ab46f964961 We are on LTSC 1809 Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
victorx10 Posted October 24, 2023 Posted October 24, 2023 I joined just to give you a heads up in case you were still looking for the root cause, or as much of a root cause as we've gotten so far until Microsoft comments on what happened. Selecting to use the "Latest Version" upon install on your configuration XML created manually or via the Office Deployment tool and site no longer works. Microsoft may have either broken logic on the installer, or the "Latest Version" URI or CDN location or description can no longer be verified by the installer. For now, the workaround fix is to pick a specific version to install in either the XML configuration file, or if you're using Intune, change from Latest and choose a specific version in the integrated Intune Line of Business Office Office 365 Apps deployment. 3
ozzyosborn687 Posted October 28, 2023 Posted October 28, 2023 For me, the machines that we were having these issues with were on Windows 10 v20H2. Upgrading to Windows 10 22H2 fixed the issue and I was able to install my normal way and didnt have to change the configuration.xml file at all.
