adding users to a group smoothwall

Made this policy rule in smoothwall.

 

 

Sadly 2 of us can't work out how to add people to the who group. Pretty sure I know what the page looks like, just can't find it.

No just created a new group from this button

 

 

It's basically an empty container. Could create a group in AD but would still need to add to the container I think

The button you clicked takes you to Services > Authentication > Groups.

 

After creating a group you generally map it to an AD group in the Services > Authentication > Directories page.

 

(Assuming the users you want to add are from your local network and not SW users)

You want Services>Authentication>Directories and then expand your domain directory and "add a new group mapping" with the local group as the one you just created and the directory group as whatever AD group you want to map it to.

The who group i created doesn't show up in the list of "local group"

I've just gone through the same process as you: "Create a new group" via Policy Wizard > Called it "Test" > Head back to Directories Page> Expand AD > Add New Group Mapping
