I hope they have stands selling posters and prints as they seem to have dropped off in the past coupel of years. And John Romero is back! I got to have a very nice chat with him about the first games we played as kids (I was wearing an Elite t-shirt) last year and my son got a signed Doom poster (he's a big Doom fan, which is nice).

Hoping to get a signed copy of Johns book. I got a signed poster last year like you. He was a super chilled guy to talk with. 1

My son dominated at the Doom II LAN setup. 17 Years old and a huge Doom fan. He took himself off for a chat with John Romero One thing I have noticed over the years is that the much older home computers such as ZX81's, ZX Spectrums and 1st Gen C64's are starting to disappear from the computers you can play on, which is a shame, but very understandable as they are getting on quite a bit now and break easily. I also liked the lass who was working the check-in who was telling all the kids not to play the newer stuff, which they may not get chance to again. All in all, we had a great time on Saturday

Some people..... I made a grave error though, I waited until later on to get Johns book and he'd sold out!!! My son went up on stage a couple times, he seems to love doing that! Roll on next year.. 1

My only regret is that I didn't get a go on the Star Wars sit down cabinet. There was a big queue all the time. I'll have to go to the Arcade Club in Bury to play on it now. What a shame
