Want to build a Saturn V rocket from paper?

I was at a event\lecture at UCLAN last night where one of their senior staff was presenting, this would also be his last talk prior to his retirement.

The guy is an expert on the planet Mars and prior to his (excellent) talk they had a small exhibition of the things the physics department via the Jeremiah Horrocks Insitute at UCLAN do.

As part of the show they had a 6.5 meter Saturn V rocket model made from paper and card! Apparently it took one person 1000 hours to construct, which works out at about 28.5 working weeks!

 

 

 

It turns out that you can download the plans for this (I'm still trying to find the massive plans!), but if your school wants some projects to build similar (and smaller), then there are free downloadable plans a plenty on the net. Just make sure you have plenty of ink and paper in!
