Brax Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 Hi all, We use Apple School Manager and Jamf at our site. We've had some licensing issues which have now been resolved but it's meant that well over 100 iPads have failed to install all their apps as they should despite being in the correct group in Jamf. We've had to manually find the serial for each iPad, go to managed apps in Jamf and click reinstall > yes on each app which is very tedious. My question is, is there a way to automatically force reinstall all the apps on a bunch of iPads at once? Jamf documentation suggests no but i'm wondering if there's a secret way to do it through ASM?

Just read this and Jamf do recommend it as best practice with 1:1 or shared devices. https://www.jamf.com/blog/what-are-shared-ipads-in-education/
Steve21 Posted September 15, 2023 Posted September 15, 2023 If it's failed multiple times I'm pretty sure it just falls back to a 24-hour check in so should still retry the installations Steve 1
bknaggs Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 In the Apps inventory in Jamf there is an option (somewhere) to clear errors and try again. 1
