Mornign all from the UK. Just a quick one, has anyone else experienced random 'Ghost Events' being logged onto net2 before please? Our client is experiencing random loggings out throughout closing hours only till next day. No one in the building and no one presenting cards to log out! They have Inventry but both parties are saying never heard of this issue before! Please help!!!

We've seen the same thing, but only on one door - we also don't have Net2 linked to Inventry, so must be something on the controller (paxton). I've been told that the next stepsis to reset the controller. I've been sent the following from an installer (but don't offer anything warranty, etc. if by running this it goes wrong).

This is for a Paxton system controller.

To Reset the Controller:

  1. Power down Controller – Remove power lead and battery connection x 1
  2. Insert a link wire between Orange and Mauve terminals on reader 2. (If Prox reader connected then remove all connections)
  3. Power up Controller
  4. Remove link wire.
  5. Controller will reboot
  6. Reconnect any prox reader.
  7. Go back to Net2 software.
  8. Check you have green tick.
  9. Software will update controller

I can confirm that is the full reset process for a NET 2 Plus ACU, had to do the exact same thing a few weeks ago.

It can be worth doing a "reinitalise" door from the software first, that re-loads the doors copy of the database and sometimes smooths things over.
