Pxe Ghost casting - Not working on desktops!!!

I have got this working flawlessly with our laptops but when it comes to the desktops its another question entirely.

I can boot into the ghost console from the NIC but the option for multicasting is greyed out. While the ghost console is booting up if i pause it i can see that it fails to install the packet driver.

This confusing as it works completely fine on our laptops.

After messing arround for a while i managed to get it to boot into the ghost console by using the -d (for diskless boot) switch on Undipd.com. This gets the multicasting option to show up but when it tries to connect to the ghost cast session it comes up with "cannot find dhcp server" or something along those lines.

Here is my autoexec.bat for the boot image

@echo off
SET TZ=GHO+00:00
prompt $p$g
\net\instundi.exe
\net\Undipd.com 0x60
if exist MOUSE.COM MOUSE.COM
echo Loading...
CD GHOST
GHOST.EXE

I'm putting this down to my inexperience with ghost casting so any pointers in this area would be a great help

Thanks

:hat:

You need to get the correct DOS(?) drivers for the network card on the desktops,

herd Univeral Network boot disk (or something like is good)

I am using the universal ghost driver that came with the boot disk creator. It's really odd that it works fine on laptops but not on desktops.

I double checked some different machines just to make sure and it does the same thing on our RM One's and Lenovo boxes.

hmmmmmm
