AV Technician

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a new AV Technician to join our School

 

Contract: Permanent

 

Working hours: 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri

 

Hours of work: 8.15am – 4.15pm (Mon to Thurs), 8.15am - 3.45pm (Fri), with a 30 min unpaid lunch break each day

 

Salary: Grade E, Scale Points 11 - 17 £24,054 - £26,845 (2023 / 2024 Support Staff Pay Award Pending)

 

Annual Leave: 24.5 days, rising to 25 days from September 2023. Additional 3 days following 5 years' service.

 

 

 

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced AV Technician to join our busy central IT support team, working flexibly across the schools in our Trust (currently Rivington and Blackrod High School and Harper Green High School).

 

This is an opportunity for an AV technician to develop their skills and knowledge to directly support the ICT Manager. You will be responsible for providing audio visual support for all staff and students across the Trust and ensuring that all the audio visual equipment across the Trust functions in an optimal state. Other duties include the installation of software, maintenance of the asset register, responding to support requests from users, liaising with suppliers and reporting unresolved issues.

 

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm for technology and education. You will have proven experience in a similar of AV and ICT support role with an excellent understanding of current AV hardware and software.

 

You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to communicate with a diverse range of people and have a commitment to the delivery of excellent customer service.
