We are actively searching for an Apprentice IT Technician to come on board and to learn the trade alongside our team of ever-growing engineers. The candidate will work towards gaining a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification.

What will the apprentice be doing?

Assist the IT team in maintaining and troubleshooting the school's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points

Provide technical support to staff, teachers, and students in person, via phone, or through a ticketing system, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Help with the setup and maintenance of computers, laptops, printers, and other connected devices

Assist in the installation and configuration of software applications and updates

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, audits, and inventory management

Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement technology-related projects and initiatives, such as upgrading hardware, deploying new software, or enhancing network security

Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles to create a comprehensive IT support resource

Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the IT field, and share knowledge with the team as appropriate

Follow and promote IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to safeguard the school's technology assets and protect sensitive information

Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge
