Are there any thoughts or recommendations when it comes to Digital Asset Management software for an archive of school photos?

I am in the process of migrating much of our on site storage to SharePoint and thought this might be the time to investigate proper photo storage management.

how have your solutions held up over time? Have any of you switched systems or found better ways to organize and manage everything? I'm especially interested in hearing if there have been any major challenges or unexpected benefits from the systems you're using now.

And also...a good tagging system makes a huge difference, especially when dealing with tons of images. I’ve found that the best digital asset management software for photographers makes organizing, searching, and retrieving files way easier. Batch processing is also a must-have if you're handling large collections. Cloud syncing can be helpful, but a solid local backup strategy is just as important to avoid issues with missing or corrupted files.
