Smoothwall Cloud Filter setup issues

We have a 6 out of 9 primary schools that we are trying to get set up with Smoothwall Cloud filter but we are having issues with. We are missing something but struggling to find what it is.

 

Primary 1 - we are unable to gain access to this at the moment, so we ill put this to one side.

 

Primary 2 - Directories set up however policies and usernames not being pushed to Smoothwall Cloud.

 

Primary 3 - Policies and directory mappings working to a point however the user on the chromebook states Default Users rather than the correct group - currently in mode 1, instead of mode 2

 

Primary 4 - Error with mappings. Policies showing on Cloud Filter but cannot get a list of OUs or Groups from

Google. Ticket open with Smoothwall Support - 434132

 

Primary 5 - Directories set up however policies and usernames not being pushed to Smoothwall Cloud.

 

Primary 6 - Directories set up however policies and usernames not being pushed to Smoothwall Cloud.

 

We have made sure we are using a working JSON file.

SSH / Root access has been actioned to enable the Cloud Filter module.

The Domain user account which is configured on the smoothwall to look around Google is configured too.

All boxes on Leeds 65.

 

Settings from the other 3 primaries have been compared against these 6 and all settings look the same.

Someone has reached out to me, it could be a long process this as i don't have remote access to the Smoothies yet, but when i do, they will all be getting a health check so i'm waiting on the Primary tech to be at said schools which means i need to be free too!

 

We suspect Primary 4 will now be sorted, to test this afternoon but that was down to the time on the Smoothie being out, and the NTP server for the Smoothwall was set to an internal DC :rollseyes: rather than an external time source.

Primary 3 - Sorted - remapped the OU to the right local Smoothwall Group
