Accountable to: IT Manager

 

The IT Technician is responsible for providing day-to-day support at the schools, whilst supporting other members of the team. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting day-to-day IT operations in the absence of the senior IT technician. They will be responsible for responding to IT support requests in accordance with the helpdesk procedures and priorities. The candidate must ensure they deliver a high quality service to all users in line with the school’s service level agreements.

You will be a primary point of contact for anyone who logs a support request. You must be approachable and conduct yourself in a professional manner. Once tickets are logged it is then your responsibility to resolve the issue or escalate to the correct person asap.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of one years’ experience as an IT technician. They will ideally possess a recognised academic qualification or experience appropriate to the role. Ideally the successful candidate will have previous experience in working within the education sector.

The technician will cover multiple sites in the trust so must be willing to travel to different sites when required.
