Dos_Box Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 I've just had to order my dad a new laptop (he wanted me to try and speed up his 13 year old dual core Celeron laptop, but it's now beyond hope!) and got him a decent Inspiron from the Dell Outlet . The only downside is that it comes with a 256GB M.2 SSD, so I went off looking for something better and saw that Amazon has these on offer: The 1TB Samsung Evo 970 at £54.99 is an amazing price (the lowest it's ever been). I may just treat myself! 4
BOOT Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Don't forget to update the firmware. There's always a reason for the price. 1
Dos_Box Posted April 29, 2023 Author Posted April 29, 2023 Don't forget to update the firmware. There's always a reason for the price. I always do (ensuring any updates are not going to break it first of course!) and I ordered the Samsung. Even with cloud storage and my Steam folder on a different SSD it's always amazing just how much a drive fills up!
MrEprise Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 There's also the Crucial P3 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSD which has been reduced to £39.99.
