Has anyone bought the SE? How did you find it?

Given the half arsed attempts at previous pupil devices from MS, I think I'll stuck with my already proven Chromebooks. We already unlocked our schools potential when we started using google for education back in 2014.

I got one as a demo unit a while back and I have to say I was impressed. Build quality was very good for a laptop in that price range. It is very much going to depend on your requirements as the lack of compatibility with most UWP and x86 apps will probably be a deal breaker for most.

I wonder how many people within Microsoft are begging them to get on with making Edgebooks already.

 

A more constructive comment from me would be to say that this looks to be trying to replicate the sort of device management experience we get with Chromebooks, which can only be a good thing.
