talksr Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Hi We have been looking at headphones for our year 4 to 6 age ranges. We wanted ones with a mic built in and we are looking at purchasing 15-30 sets. We ordered some from Amazon in the end which were identical to some the school had been gifted however the quality is really poor with the USB cables breaking away and earphone covers falling off after first use and well behaved children. The original set we were gifted are still going strong but not the new ones, so manufacturing processes must have changed. I would be really grateful if anyone can suggest suitable headphones for school that are built a little bit more solidly. Has anyone ever used TTS? We found something like this, but not sure if they will be any stronger? https://www.tts-group.co.uk/usb-headset-bundle/1013166.html"]https://www.tts-group.co.uk/usb-headset-bundle/1013166.html#"]https://www.tts-group.co.uk/usb-headset-bundle/1013166.html

TechMonkey Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 I get these now. They are fantastic. They are a box of these and get the USB version as faffing around between dual and quad pole is annoying. Replaceable pads and wires. Never seen one broken and the mic is built-in and solid. 1
dhicks Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 We have been looking at headphones for our year 4 to 6 age ranges. We have some of the TTS USB headphones. They have lasted very well compared to other ones, however we find by Year 6 the children are complaining the elasticated "pull-together" action on the headphone cups makes them a bit uncomfortable. If you're using headphones with laptops or all-in-ones we find you don't generally need on-headset mics, the built-in mics in the device do okay. 1
talksr Posted February 13, 2023 Author Posted February 13, 2023 Thank you everyone, that is really helpful! We have been through so many headphones in the past, so this info will be of real use!
