onedrive intune vs active directory mapped homearea

So I have a little bit of an issue with the OneDrive Intune devices for staff which don't usually move to other shared pcs around school with their massive areas, onedrive sometimes takes minutes to index files compared to ad with mapped homearea which was instant.

 

 

but this is a member of SMT staff complaining about this, problem there not wrong but Intune and onedrive is the future and I don't want to move back to ad, as the whole school is intuned now.
