timbo343 Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 We are looking at exam screen readers and i thought that Edge Immersive Reader or an alternative for Chrome would be ideal but looking into the Screen Readers via the exam board (JCQ) it looks like we may have to use paid-for software. Looking at the options available we are looking texthelp (texthelp.co.uk) - Read&Write. Does anyone use this or are there others we should be looking at before jumping in with this one?
RLR Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 We used Read Write for a few years with a student that required it. Don't have any students currently that need it but it did work well. It's worth having the student practice on it before hand. You do get a lot of options including ways to lock it down.
kearton Posted January 17, 2023 Posted January 17, 2023 We looked at Read&Write, but ended up just getting Acrobat to read the PDF to the user
