Microsoft 365 Adding additional Domain

Hi guys we are currently rocking the standard A1 for students license and I am thinking of buying an additional domain and adding it in. When I go to "Buy a Domain" direct on the 365 page it says...

Before you can buy a domain, you'll need to upgrade your trial. You can then connect new domains to the services included in your subscription.

Is this because the account has no card details registered against it? I know if I go to Add domain and type it in manually as if I bought it from GoDaddy Etc it seems to get to the next step and wants the verification.

 

Just wondered if any of you have multiple domain names and if this is normal.

Buy your domain through a reseller like GoDaddy, and add it to Office 365 manually. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/setup/add-domain?view=o365-worldwide
