Sorry if this is posted elsewhere, in a rush, need some help :)

So I have been asked to make a website. A light bulb went off and I thought of Edugeek Joomla.

As I have never even looked at this I need one question answered. If we use our RBC as web host, being EMBC, is this something we can use or is this designed for use on your own webserver?

TIA and sorry if this is a dumb question :)

As long as your RBC can supply you hosting with support for PHP and an SQL database you should be fine.

Sweet, I think they do. Should reduce my burden when I introduce the great 'feature' of staff being able to update their own areas!

Thanks for the reply.

I have our school site hosted on EMBC.

Thanks for confirmation.

Really I hate making websites, feeling a lot better about it now. I think I can really sell the idea of staff updating it.

What's the best way to configure permissions on Joomla?

What does each group assignment give in the way of permissions?

Should this really be in it's own thread?

Sorry but the above statement jogged my memory that i wanted to ask this.
