Any issues using outlook (web) to open Gmail emails?

Hi all,

 

The school is a Google school, they use Gmail, and all the other Google apps including Google drive / shared drives.

 

New head has just started and their first request is...... Can I open my Gmail emails in Outlook. While I believe this is technically doable, I was wondering what you all thought of this are? Will it cause complications, will they lose functionality?

 

Reading the MS steps, it simple says the user needs to login to Outlook with their Gmail account. Will the fact the school does have 365 accounts already (only used for Teams, nothing else) and the 365 accounts use the same domain name as their Google Workspace accounts cause an issue?

I gave the new head a demo of Gmail and all the Google apps and she seems happy using Gmail now :-)
