ITGuyNW Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Hi all Anyone else experiencing issues accessing https sites since midday? We keep getting privacy errors. Edugeek is ok as it's unsecured... Rang BT and they're denying all however when we connect directly out physically through their equipment we get the same issues. Weirdly BBC News is fine...
Mark182 Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Hi all Anyone else experiencing issues accessing https sites since midday? We keep getting privacy errors. Edugeek is ok as it's unsecured... Also, did they give you a ticket ref number? I'll ring them and say we are having the same issues as your ticket.
ITGuyNW Posted July 11, 2022 Author Posted July 11, 2022 My colleague is the phone to them now to see what can be done and they've finally said other Schools are having the same issue and it's now being escalated. Seems to be certifications issued by BTLS not being trusted. If I go to http://www.amazon.co.uk, export the certificate and import it into my own trusted store, the website works. Timescale for resolution?.... no idea.. 1
ITGuyNW Posted July 12, 2022 Author Posted July 12, 2022 Latest Update "This is an issue with the NS setup across the board and we are seeing it in several schools. We have raised an incident with NS themselves to investigate and we are carrying out internal investigations. As soon as I have more news I will fill you in.ThanksJarrod CollingsSenior IT Engineer" It also seems to be affecting Youtube as restricted mode is on by default and we can't access half the videos.
Mark182 Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 Today's update : Dear Customer The following comments have been added to your incident: We are making progress and think we have identified the cause of the issue. It is to do with the way Netsweeper processes Shared Lists. As soon as we are in a position to deploy a fix someone will be in touch If you need to provide any more information please reply to this email, or contact the BTLS Service Centre via telephone. Thank you
ITGuyNW Posted July 13, 2022 Author Posted July 13, 2022 Yeah we had a phone call saying it's now been fixed. Fun times.. Person on the phone still tried to say it could have been our Smoothwall though!! Can't say I'm a fan at all of their customer support. The first call we raised it we were fobbed off.
