techie17 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 We have all our school phones with O2 and they are not getting the OTP sms from Halifax when they pay for items online. Even when they choose the call back option, it doesn’t do that either. It happens on all three O2 mobiles but as soon as get Halifax to change the number on one of the charge cards to a Vodafone mobile number, the Vodafone mobile gets the OTP sms fine. Halifax are blaming O2 and O2 are blaming Halifax so I wondered if anyone has come across this before?
free780 Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 I can never phantom why banks don’t enforce an Authenticator app rather than txt and phone call. More secure and works where you have an internet connection but no mobile signal. It sounds like you need to raise it with o2.
TechMonkey Posted July 2, 2022 Posted July 2, 2022 I'm with O2 and Halifax and not had any issues. I do use the Halifax App though, can't actually remember if I've had an SMS OTP from them.
