IT Technician

Pattern of work: Full Time

Salary: Circa £23,500 - £26,000

Learning Partners are seeking to appoint an IT Technician responsible to assist in the support, management and maintenance of the George Abbot IT network.

Although you will predominantly be working at George Abbot School, you will need to be flexible in order to support IT requirements across our 9 schools.

Our school environment is caring and friendly, with a strong sense of community, and we are looking to add another IT Technician/Field Engineer able to support our staff and students across the school. Pupil numbers in school are approximately 2000, with an enthusiastic and dedicated team of staff supporting the school.

We have network staff across our Multi Academy Trust (Learning Partners) with group communications and bi-annual meetings. This creates a community where we help each other resolve issues and work towards joint goals.

In addition to working in a small team at George Abbot, the successful candidate will be directly supported by the service desk and development teams.

The role will have specific responsibilities:

• IT repair and maintenance

• Helpdesk & support requests

• Software installations and maintenance

• Assist with the backup systems

• Assist with maintaining physical and virtual servers

• Network security

• Assist with internet access and filtering

The person appointed may not necessarily be familiar with all the areas listed above, but a willingness to learn and be proactive is essential.
